There are a number of examples that show Jesper's commitment to safety and to other people.
Jesper lives on a farm in the far north of Denmark and the distance from his home to the main road is 300 m. One evening when a heavy snow storm was forecast, he parked his Carglass van at the main road and walked back to his house. This way he ensured that he would not be snowbound. The next morning he fought his way back to the van through massive snow, only to discover that someone had broken into the van. Nothing serious was missing in the van, but he did have to fit a plexi in his van even before starting the working day.
This delayed him, but then he discovered that a neighbor had also parked his car by the main road and it too had been broken into. Jesper was unable to get hold of the owner of the car, but as a matter of courtesy, he fitted a plexi in this car as well, before he went ahead with the planned jobs for the day. He later got hold of the owner of the car, and informed him what had happened. The owner told Jesper that the car had been packed and ready for holidays, and that they had needed to buy some replacement clothing, before they could leave for holidays. He was very grateful for Jesper’s spontaneous assistance.
This is only one example of how Jesper goes out of his way to help and achieve. Another example was when the alternator on his Carglass van broke down during his mobile working day. Rather than enjoying a day off, Jesper drove to the local Ford garage and asked them to replace it. They replied that they had no time that day, so Jesper bought a new alternator from the garage spare parts shop, and insisted on getting a working bay for himself at the Ford garage. He replaced the alternator himself, and within the hour, he went on to continue his working day.
